The Island of Koh Larn, Thailand

Are you ready to adventure a whole island and see every beach it has to offer in a relaxing pace? Well here you go.
Then set sail from the piers in Pattaya near the Walking Street, the earlier the better. Signs are posted for by the ferries to leave at 08:00 but Robe and I got on one 15-30 minutes before hand for 30 BAHT each.
It’s a beautiful and relaxing ride there.
Haad Ta Waen Beach
Upon arrival you see all the bright colored building and lush jungle.
We set foot to our first stop Haad Ta Waen beach which I would say way my least favorite other than the floating pier that really rocked your boat. The tide was high so there was no beach and it was over populated with tourists so we left quickly.
Samae Beach
We then set foot over to Samae Beach. It was a gorgeous walk hitting a beautiful Viewpoint before a lovely lady stopped to give us a ride on her motorbike the rest of the way just to be nice! We had a fun little photo shoot and kicked back on this quiet beach unpolluted by tourists. The rocks on the far left of the beach are gorgeous but very sharp so be careful.
Haad Thian Beach
A last minute decision was made to take a peak at Haad Thian which had the most gorgeous trees right where the waves touch that we couldn’t help but strike various poses in their branches. On our way out we inquired about the motor bikes but they were asking 400 BAHT for a couple of hours which is ridiculous! Most places don’t go over 250 BAHT for 24 hours so we walked onwards(later grateful that we did).
Viewpoint and Haad Ke Re Beach
Next stop Haad Ke Re with a break at one of the most amazing viewpoints on the way. We trekked up this steep hill through the jungle and windmills to make it to this wrap around dock/patio that you could see Pattaya, surrounding islands and all of Ko Larn itself! If we would’ve taken the motorbike we would have never been able to make it here. The other great part was that no one else was there or on our hole hike through!
It was now time for lunch then Had Ke Re beach. This was my favorite of all beaches. No one else was there except some locals fishing. We found a lovely little hammock tucked away where we began to nod off from the chill vibes and long day. This is not a place to swim but it was perfect for some R&R.

Nual Beach
Our last stop was Nual Beach(Monkey Beach, there are no monkeys there that I saw). This was a Farley crowded beach but had the best swimming of them all. We took a dip and chilled out.
I saw these amazing pineapples that I just loved calling coconuts all day for some reason adorned with gorgeous flowers. I decided I must have one! Little to my surprise they were Mai Tais when I thought they were just fruit shakes, and they were strong ones to add to that. We enjoyed our beverage and took a Tuk-Tuk back to the pier to catch the ferry back to Pattaya.
This was the highlight of Jomtien/Pattaya for me! It was a great trek with amazing views, relaxations, photos and wonderful company. Plus the water is some of the most crystal clear water with white sand beaches I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend checking Ko Lorn out!
