Finding Me Wherever I May Be

(Medicine for Violets ears & getting love from 1 of her friends) July 1st, 2018 I arrived in Pekan, Pahang, Malaysia to do my first ever workaway project. I would be spending the next week in a half at a non-profit animal shelter called Meow Island. Meow Island is owned by a very kind and caring man named Luke who does all that he can to make a better life for the sick and injured street cats by taking them into his shelter. To be honest I did not really know what to expect or if this was going to be a good fit for me. (The kittens becoming more active) Upon arrival 1 of the 3 arrivals picked me up from the bus station. I had enough time to set my bags down before he was taking me all over the place showing me things, telling me a bunch of information, and introducing me to the others. (Government Camp, Oregon) April 1st was the start of a new beginning for me. I left my home, job, and many friends behind on my cozy mountain town of Government Camp, Oregon. Since then I spent two weeks floating around the Portland area visiting many friends and to some of my favorite places. The 15th of April some of my favorite people, my fluffy Juku and I went out to Beverly Beach on the Oregon Coast to have final hoorah before making my way back to my hometown of Reno, NV.  (Devils Punch Bowl, Oregon) Juku, my friend Jere and I took the 101 down stopping at various coastal spots, taking the magnificent Avenue of the Giants in California, gawking at the giant red woods. Our third and final stop on the road being in Napa California to see some friends.
