Exploring Chiang Mai Thailand

A Special Place in My Heart What an experience I had in Chiang Mai for only 4.5 days there and barely scratched the surface. I spent most of my time within the walls of the Old City while here wandering the streets, going in and out of shops, getting all sorts of different food and smoothies from many different places, partaking in activities, meditating in Wat Pha Bong Temple, and just enjoying myself at my own pace. The city really doesn't start to buzz until 08:00 and quiet hours start at 00:00 with the walls. You can find vintage shops, enjoy massages, leave the walls for outdoor excursions, and just meander around. There is so much to do and whether you are there for a few days or much longer so if you find yourself to this city one of these days(which you should) and you will not be disappointed. Oh, the Colors, Sounds, Lights, Food and People! If you are ever in Chiang Mai, Thailand on a Sunday make to stop by the Sunday Night Market within the Old City near the Eastern Gates. Earlier in the day while chillin on my rooftop I made friends with three of the most loveliest and funniest ladies. Once we worked up an appetite we hit the streets to the Sunday Night Market. It is quiet the good time exploring, dancing around, gawking at the goods and eating lots of yummy food.  This market is massive! How many blocks it takes up, I have no clue. What I do know is that the food was delicious, I had chicken on a stick from two different stands both equally awesome and some fried chicken gyoza, nom nom nom.  Are you looking to do some shopping or to just marvel at what the vendors sell? This is the perfect place. You will find anything from clothes, to art, hygiene care, penis whistles, and more! You can even get your haircut. I myself picked up an aloe bar ...
